Training and Technical
Assistance
NEOEDD provides many types of training and technical assistance for businesses, citizen groups, non-profits and local governments. We can help you learn to improve your business or organization through workshops, classes or customized training. Training is available in business plan development, marketing, financing, public relations, organizational and project development, fund-raising, grant-writing and leadership development.
You can also hire NEOEDD to work on specific tasks for your organization, community or business. Our technical assistance includes grant research, grant writing, grant administration, meeting facilitation, feasibility studies, business plans, project development and management, research and data analysis and report writing.
The District also provides economic data for researchers and referrals to other technical assistance providers.
Strategic Planning
NEOEDD provides assistance to communities, non-profits and governments that are interested in planning for the future of their organization or community.
NEOEDD also facilitates the collection and prioritization of local projects for the federal Economic Development Administration. This project information is used in the development of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for Baker, Union and Wallowa counties.

Program
Administration/Staffing
NEOEDD offers contracted staffing services for regional and local organizations. These services are typically sought by groups and committees who are charged with administering programs and financial resources, but who do not wish to hire employees.
Currently NEOEDD provides fiscal administration and board management services for the Northeast
Oregon Alliance region (Umatilla, Union and Wallowa counties). This volunteer board selects and develops initiatives funded with Oregon Lottery revenue through the Regional Investment Program.
NEOEDD also serves as staff and fiscal administrator for the non-profit organization, Northeast Oregon Business Development, which offers business loans in Baker, Union and Wallowa counties. |
